Marina Sazonenko

My professional career began in 2002 after receiving a degree in economics from Novosibirsk University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. I worked as a manager for about 10 years, and at the same time I received a second degree in graphic design. While working as a designer, I became interested in pedagogy and art, and in 2021 I received a diploma as a research teacher at the Graduate School of Art and Design at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Curator of the "Textile Workshop"
The group of workshop participants was formed during the work of my "Texts and Textiles" laboratory (Nekrasovka Library). Now we are holding meetings in the workshop "Enter and allow" (CCI Fabrika) on various techniques of working with textiles: embroidery, applications, printing on fabric, creating joint projects and exhibiting them.

I taught the basics of designing from paper and cardboard. I introduced children to various trends in art through paper art.

2018 - 2022

I developed the design of catalogs, was engaged in the design and layout of materials for the website. I created branding for events at various representative offices of the company. Created the packaging design.

I have received a diploma in teaching and research

My research interests are Soviet period art, graphic design, illustration, children’s literature, paper games, gender studies, feminism, textiles, women’s needlework practices. I participate in foreign and Russian conferences and write scientific and popular science articles. In 2020, I participated in the Summer Research School at Universiteit Antwerpen.
